What's about?
This is the first bank that operates without money and is open to everyone in Sant Cugat. You can exchange your time with other people, the currency being the hours you put in.
Aims
The Sant Cugat Time Bank seeks to promote the free exchange of services among people, thereby fostering the opportunity of getting to know and gaining trust in others in order to deal with the needs of everyday life.How can I take part?
Everybody has something to offer and particular needs. Anybody living in Sant Cugat can register with the Time Bank. All you have to do is call 93 674 63 51 (afternoons) and arrange an interview with the secretary of the Time Bank.How does it work?
The main asset and the currency of the bank is time, regardless of the service being offered or received. You can provide hours of your time by offering a service and, in exchange, you can ask somebody else for their time in order to address your own specific everyday needs.
